Whole Chicken with Giblets (2kg min)

Buying a Whole Chicken raised to our high free-range standards means that you find the benefit in the flavour and nourishment of the chicken, while making the most of a great and cost-effective way to feed the whole family – roast a chicken and see how many meals you can make from the leftovers. Remember that the carcass, bones and giblets can be used to make a homemade stock or gravy. All whole birds come with the giblets inside in a separate bag. Roasting Instructions: Oven: 1. Remove the giblets from the cavity and leave the chicken out of the fridge for 1 hour prior to cooking. 2. Slice our Field & Flower Butter into strips and insert between the skin and the chicken breast – having this layer will protect the chicken and further baste it in cooking – for extra flavour you can place a sprig of thyme and a cut lemon into the cavity of the bird. 3. Season with fine salt, or our own Shepton Rub (this will help to ensure a crispy skin). 4.
